Awww, so sweet. I concur with Anne: you are awesome. And I think Youngest Son is pretty awesome too.

For me, while I do remember things from elementary school (fave teachers, playground hijinks), the memories that took place outside of school are what stick with me and matter to me the most. I always loved it when my Dad let me come with him on an errand in his old pick-up. I could care less where we went, just that I got to spend time with him. Or standing on a little stool trying to help my Mom make sugar cookies at Christmas, and having a hard time mixing in all that dang flour with my little 7-year-old arms.

What I love about this is that Youngest Son is wise beyond his years (even if unintentionally so) in how he remembers special moments with you. Wow, can I ramble!!

Amy, this is just one more piece of evidence (of the many, many) that you are awesome. Your kids are so lucky to have you as their mom!

Wow, how interesting! My grandfather grew up Mennonite in California and later moved to west Michigan. I'm going to recommend this one to my mom. Thanks!

Hi Jojo! I was reading from Mom's lap and thought you might like another book told in first dog, Dog on it by Spencer Quinn. My Mom has 4 of us cats and talks to all of us and, of course, we talk back. She just has a bit of trouble sometimes understanding us sometimes, but we just walk right in front of her repeating things until she understands or trips.
